He wanted to find a way to hold down a job while also drinking as much as he wanted. And thus, Blackwell Bourbon Company was born. Bud's booze empire boomed throughout the bluegrass. Eventually he saved up to start a baseball franchise, because what's the point of drinking if not to crash out about the performance of your favorite sports team?
